Meet Kati Enea
Kati is a California native and was raised by two public school teacher parents. Kati learned early to respect educators and the education process, the joy of learning and the importance of having a well-balanced life. Her parents taught her that anything worth doing should be done well.
Kati earned her bachelor's in Political Science and Women’s Studies at San Diego State University. In 2001, Kati met Joe Enea, a Carmel native, and fell in love and married four years later. Kati began her career in corporate marketing and event planning at the Hotel del Coronado.
Kati also served as the Executive Director of the Miss San Diego Pageant & Scholarship Association with the Miss America Organization, as a volunteer for 10 years. Under her leadership, San Diego proudly welcomed home Miss California twice and distributed more than $60,000 in scholarships to young women working to higher their education.
Kati and Joe welcomed their beautiful daughters, Aubri in 2007 and Samantha in 2009 to their family. Kati fell in love again and committed herself to raising her daughters to be strong, kind, and inquisitive and to embrace learning as her parents taught her. Motherhood is Kati’s most important job and she and Joe are fully committed to the education of their children and raising them to be good humans and citizens.
In 2011, Kati and Joe returned to Carmel to raise their family in his hometown. Carmel offered an excellent education for their girls, beautiful scenery and an incredible welcoming community to call home.
Kati is a life-long volunteer. She began volunteering in Carmel as a classroom parent when Aubri began school as a kindergartener and then for the next 5 years at Carmel River. Kati joined the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and volunteered to help with the Father Daughter Family Dance, was the Readathon Chair for 2 years and then became the president for 2 years. During her time at River, Kati served on the School Site Council for 3 years and supported the Master Facility Planning Committee for 1 year. Kati is an active member of her church and volunteers with the National Charity League.
As Kati raises her girls and volunteers, she continues her career as a Customer Experience Manager with Porsche Monterey.
